Gotta love those mixed drinks! The difference between a decent mixed drink and a fantabulous drink is all in the ingredients and technique used to prepare it.

Try some of our tips and be the mix master at your next gathering!
  1. Use only clean, fresh ice and fruit.

  3. When shaking a cocktail, use short, sharp, snappy shakes.  When water condenses on the shaker, drink is ready.

  5. Do not over serve!  More is not better when making great cocktails.  Use the correct amounts,  its tastier, its safer!

  7. Finished drinks have to look good, otherwise nobody will drink them!  Presentation counts big time, garnish with flare!

  9. Clean all glassware and bar tools before using.  Everything should be spotless and odorless.

  11. Cold drinks stay colder when served in chilled glassware.  (champagne should be served in cool, dry glassware)

  13. Make your own simple syrup.  Just add some sugar in boiling water, stir until it thickens.  No more than 2 minutes to make.

  15. Use ice tongs.  Never use your hands to scoop ice.

  17. Rub wax paper over the tip of bottles to prevent dripping.
  18.  
  19. Hot drinks should be served in cups with handles.
